Christmas Cards

This afternoon we have been making Christmas cards, I hope the parents like them as much as we do!

The children had a lovely time finding all their sparkly favourites to glue onto the triangle trees.

December Topic: Christmas

Rather predictably we are going to be focussing on Christmas this month!

We have many exciting things planned that include:

  • Making Christmas cards
  • Attending our toddler group Christmas Party
  • Christmas sensory tray play (involving cinnamon!)
  • Counting Christmas tree baubles
  • Venturing out to explore our festive community

Thursday 1 November 2012

A little bit of a sad day for us today as we were saying goodbye to my first ever mindee after two years (she is pictured in the middle).

She will be missed but we will see her soon and wish her mummy lots of luck in her new childminding venture!

Salad Spinner Fireworks

In order to celebrate bonfire night we have made some firework paintings using one of our favourite painting techniques - spinning the salad spinner.

We used black circles of paper in the base of the salad spinner and then children chose their own colour, added the paint and got spinning, their favourite part!

Autumn Hand Print Tree

We were all rather pleased with the finished result of out Autumn hand print trees.

We used a variety of brown wall paper samples to draw around hands and arms to make the tree.

The leaves were then added with lots of orange, red, gold and yellow finger paints - very autumnal and sparkly!
